Do you have a "brand" and what does style have to do with your success?
This presentation will explore how it can be a key factor in achieving success in all sectors of our personal and professional lives.
Recently featured in COLOR Magazine, Jay Calderin teaches a wide variety of fashion and professional development courses at the School of Fashion Design in Boston, where he is also the Director of Creative Marketing. He founded and serves as Executive Director of Boston Fashion Week and is the Regional Director of Fashion Group International of Boston. Calderin's designs have appeared in the pages of Vogue and Elle Magazines. On a personal note, he has been involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization as a mentor since 2001 and was named Big Brother of the Year in 2009.
Jay has been involved with AMBLE: Aspiring Minority Buiness Leaders & Entrepreneurs at Harvard University (speaker at Spring Career Conference 2009: Constructing Your Career and developed the Four Corners of Fashion Lecture Series). He serves on the Design Advisory Committee (Programs/Activites and Visibility/Research) for DIGMA, Design Industry Group of Massachusetts. Jay recently completed his first book, 'Fit, Form and Fashion' for Rockport Publishers, a handbook for fashion designers that serves as a primer for newcomers and a reference guide for professionals, scheduled to be released December 2009.
